The Phillips School of Massage has been licensed by the state of
California to offer massage therapy training since 1983. As of 30 June 2007, PSoM is operating under a voluntary agreement with the California Department of Consumers Affairs to comply with all state statutes,
rules and regulations pertaining to a private postsecondary institution.

Institutional Member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals
(ABMP) since 1991.
ABMP is affiliated with over 25 massage, bodywork and somatic therapy
associations worldwide. ABMP is dedicated to promoting ethical practices and
legitimate standards of training, protecting the rights of practitioners, and
educating the public as to the benefits of massage, bodywork, and somatic therapies.
